Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Lunar Calendar ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Android application. By installing and using this App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). Specifically:

• No name, email address, phone number, or account information is required or collected.
• No location data is accessed or stored.
• No contacts, photos, or files on your device are accessed.
• No unique device identifiers are used for tracking purposes.

The App stores the following data exclusively on your device:

• Reminders: Reminder titles, descriptions, dates, and times you set within the App.
• App preferences: Language selection (English / Vietnamese) and theme mode (Light / Dark / System).
• Cached lunar data: Pre-computed lunar calendar data for offline performance.

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us or any third party.

• INTERNET – Used only for Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (see Section 5). No personal data is shared.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS – Required (Android 13+) to display reminder notifications you set. Only triggered on devices running Android 13 (API 33) or higher.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – Allows the App to reschedule your reminders after a device reboot, so you don't miss any notifications.

The App uses the following Google Firebase services, which may collect anonymized, aggregated data:

• Firebase Analytics – Collects anonymized usage statistics (e.g., screen views, session duration) to help us improve the App. No personal data is linked to these statistics. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Crashlytics – Automatically reports crash logs to help us identify and fix bugs. Reports contain device model, OS version, and stack traces — no personal information. See Firebase Privacy Policy.

These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

This App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected at all, the App is safe for users of all ages.

Since all user-generated data (reminders and preferences) is stored locally on your device using Android's secure SharedPreferences and Room database, it is protected by your device's built-in security mechanisms (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We have no access to this data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
